David and Gwen Walkowiak founded DHW Law with a commitment most firms couldn't credibly make: every client works directly with a partner, every matter gets the attention it deserves, and every client walks out of the first meeting understanding their options, the likely timeline, and the cost.

Two decades later, the model still works because the premise was right. We are small by design. Our clients come back across decades, across matters, across generations, because the people they started with are still here when they need us again.

What we practice

Nine practice areas: real estate and foreclosure defense, estate planning, civil court mediation, personal injury, family law, consumer debt defense, immigration, civil and commercial litigation, and criminal defense. David's board certification in real estate law and Supreme Court certification in civil and family mediation shape a large part of the firm; Gwen's focus on estate planning, family law, and immigration shapes the rest.

Our community

Gwen serves on the Boards of Directors of Christian Social Services and Angel of Hope Memorial Gardens, two Tampa Bay nonprofits that do real work for real people. David founded the USF Ice Bulls hockey program, coaches high school hockey, and serves on his church council. These are not biographical footnotes. They are how we ended up in Pasco County in the first place, and why we have no intention of leaving.
