Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 15, 2026

DHW Law, P.A. ("DHW Law," "we," "us") respects the privacy of visitors to dhwpalaw.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

Information we collect

We collect three types of information:

  • Information you voluntarily submit. When you complete our contact form or request a scheduled consultation, we collect your name, email, phone, matter type, and any description you choose to include.
  • Analytics. We use Netlify Analytics, which processes server-side request logs without cookies, scripts, or personal identifiers. It records aggregate page views, referring sites, and countries of origin. It does not track individual users.
  • Technical information. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may log IP addresses and user-agent strings for security and fraud prevention.

How we use information

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, run a brief conflict check, and, if appropriate, schedule a consultation. We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate our scheduling and email systems, or when required by law.

Retention

  • Contact form submissions are retained in the firm's inbox per our internal file-retention policy.
  • Confirmed consultation records are retained for 18 months and then purged automatically.
  • Cancelled consultation records are retained for 90 days and then purged automatically.
  • Audit logs of scheduling actions are retained for 7 years.

Your rights (California residents and others)

If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, call us at 813-962-3176 or write to DHW Law, P.A., 24714 State Road 54, Lutz, Florida 33559, with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days.

Attorney-client privilege

Information submitted through this website is not protected by attorney-client privilege. An attorney-client relationship is formed only after a written engagement agreement is signed. Do not submit confidential matter details through the contact form or any public channel.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you submit, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Sensitive matter details should be discussed by phone or in a secure meeting.
